NTPC To Seek Insurance Cover For Transformer Package

NTPC Ltd will be going for a comprehensive Marine cum Erection (MCE) Insurance for Transformer Package to be installed at its upcoming 2×800 MW Stage-I Lara Super Thermal Power Plant (STPP) in Raigarh district. The insurance cover combines the transit as well as erection work of the transformer at the plant, official stated. Notably, the power to be generated by upcoming NTPC’s Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) at Lara in Raigarh district will be supplied to Chhattisgarh, Goa and Maharashtra States, officials stated. The project is most likely to go on stream by March 2017. The Lara STPP will also be a high surveillance Station with Inter Protocol (IP) based cameras installed at various locations. Meanwhile, under the guidance of Raigarh District Collector Alarmelmangai D, the State Employment Office, Livelihood College and Labour Departments had jointly launched a campaign to connect youths of villages affected by NTPC’s Lara project with employment opportunities, by sharpening their skills.
