Mahindra looks to ride new bike Mojo to export markets
Homegrown auto major Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to enter the premium motorcycle segment overseas, including Latin America, South East Asia and North Africa, with its newly launched Mojo model. The company, which launched the 300 cc bike in the domestic market at an introductory price of Rs 1.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for all bookings till this Diwali, expects shipments to international markets to happen by the middle of next year. “Export is a good opportunity. We are certainly looking at exporting Mojo to markets in Latin America, South East Asia and North Africa,” M&M President & Chief Executive (Farm Equipment & Two Wheeler Division) Rajesh Jejurikar said . He said however that primary focus currently is the domestic market. “By the middle of next year, we should start the exports,” he said when asked about a timeline for start of overseas shipments.
