Driysham In Reality In Indian Polity

Updated: September 11, 2015 7:50 am

When the Government planned to change the name of Aurangzeb Road, a VIP dotted important road, Siddarth Varadhrajan allegedly speaking from a Pakistani Channel blasted the government for such a proposal. Why? Naming a road in someone’s name is an honour to him. If this Government and a large number of people who have been agitating for a long time to change the name of Aurangzeb, planned to replace it with the name of Abul Kalam, what could be the reason to oppose it? Most so-called intellectuals and Left Liberals always play minority card. For them anything or anyone pro-India or pro-majority is right-winger and therefore condemnable

It is an old saying Devil must be given his due. So, I have no hesitation in admitting that the so-called intellectuals and left liberals, who are extremely clever with words, gave us commentaries, news and happenings with a veneer of their ‘intellectual’ interpretation but coated with their ideology. And we glibly accepted them as God’s truth.

They twist facts to what best can be described as complementary facts. Everyone believes whatever they dish out. Unfortunately, they are the czars of the media. When Karan Thapar got the interviews of Pak’s NSA Sartaj Aziz he gloated that India on its part could not counter him. The inference was that the cancellation of the talks between the NSAs was a loss to India.

So the readers and viewers never realise that they are being made to live in a make-believe world that conforms to the ideology and agenda of those who control the media narrative. The Media Czars know “that few persons have the time, inclination, and access to resources to verify what they are claiming to be facts, and even fewer capable of spotting on missions, mutilations, and obfuscation of facts that may puncture the crafted reality. They do this by suppressing news, by manufacturing news, by inventing news (and publishing a regret two days later if challenged), by formulating headlines different from and contrary to the actual thrust of the news, knowing well that few readers go beyond headlines, and even in the minds of those who do, the headline has the power to stick.

It is only now that a large number of people have realised that the intellectuals and left liberals have certain categories and individuals who are sacrosanct for them so no misdemeanours, misdeeds and malfeasance of the Gandhis and the Left are covered.

The Right is under constant scrutiny and criticism some time through history according to their interpretation. Animated discussions are slated on TV Channels on anything which can damage the Right. When Rahul Bhaiya said he would give zero to the rule of Modi in his first year, no discussion was held, as to whether giving zero had some logic or it was laughable euphemism by one who does not know anything beyond zero.

What is Drishyam?

In the recent movie “Drishyam,” the hero creates a story as an alibi to keep his family from getting arrested for a crime they had committed unintentionally. But each story has characters, and the hero knows that the characters appearing in his story would be questioned by the police. So he creates an alternate reality, and carefully inserts all characters appearing into his story in that reality, or simply writes in their mind the story he wants, the way a computer writes data on memory devices. He does it so skillfully that indeed all the characters narrate the story as if it were real, the way the hero wanted them to narrate. He succeeds because the characters are too busy and occupied with their own lives. They do receive data, but are too disinterested to process it, and simply store it in memory. Once that skeletal data is placed in their minds, the hero fills in certain crucial false details, and reinforces their memory by repeating the whole story to the characters, but this time with some important falsehoods inserted.

So people remember only zero given for one year term of Modi, this is what intellectuals and left liberals wanted. In fact it is since then that the discussion over what was achieved during the one-year term and whether Modi would be able to fulfill any of his promises has started.

How no discussion took place that 18 crore low income people or absolutely poor ones joined the Jan Dhan Yojana through which Rs 22,000 crore have been collected? All these people would get one lakh rupees if they or their family member falls sick. Why is this major achievement, an innovative idea never highlighted?

For almost two months the story that a young lady was being protected and spied upon by Gujarat police because Narendra Modi, the then chief minister of Gujarat was interested in her. I cannot recall how many panel discussions were slated but they were enough to teach us the right of an individual to free movement and recourses available to get rid of being tailed.

The Media’s Royal Family

19-09-2015

If a Congress government has done anything good, it is the express and direct doing of the dynasty. If it has

done something bad, it never happened, or was the failure of some minion, or of the system. So it is never mentioned that Sonia Gandhi and her NAC was the real government at the Center for the last ten years, and it systematically destroyed Indian economy.

The consequences of socialism, which has been the governing philosophy of the Indian ruling elite, are never to be connected to socialism itself. So if education and health services in India have collapsed due to socialistic ideas that is not interpreted as the inescapable consequence of socialism, but only projected to mean that we need to throw more money on these sectors.

Any negative news from the states ruled by the “secular socialist” parties is not news, and must be discarded.

So, Indians would never know that in UP, Bihar, and West Bengal roads have disappeared, education is failing, health services are weak, businesses have disappeared, and jobs are hard to come by.

Anything bad done by the groups which have been classified by the Left ruling elite of India as “victim groups,” that is, its favored religious minority groups, is not news and must not be broadcast, but anything negative happening to them must be played up as breaking news for many days. So a riot is not a riot if the favored “victim group” has upper hand, but as soon as it loses dominance, it becomes a breaking news. Why media does not remind readers that Lalu Yadav is a convicted and sentenced criminal out on bail?

So when ISIS atrocities could no longer be suppressed, Praveen Swami of Indian Express wrote that the Mexican drug mafia also similarly tortures people. Over 120 million human beings murdered by the Leftists in USSR, China, Cambodia, and host of other countries are claimed to be killed by Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and other leaders, not by the Leftists.

But no discussions took place when it was found that the police officer who had ‘leaked’ the story was himself interested in that lady. How could the media czars clear a rightist!

Even 13 years after Modi’s name is often linked to 2002 riots no one remembers when Rahul Gandhi was detained for nine hours at Boston airport when he could not explain why was he carrying over hundred thousand dollars. Reports are that his Colombian girlfriend was with him. This will never be recalled by the left and intellectuals for whom Gandhis are sacrosanct.

Thus the media has been controlled for quite some time and the people’s views and attitudes have been moulded by the alternate reality dished out by playing with words by the intellectuals, the Left who claim to be seculars.

How will it affect Modi would depend on how much he is able to achieve and more importantly make people aware of his achievements. He has already launched over 25 schemes and some of them have already succeeded more than expected. But the Czar-controlled media would not let any positive news about Modi be telecast or broadcast.

Modi cannot just depend on Man ki Baat to reach all people, especially his young voters. He cannot blame the media because he left it to its own devices. He has to have a team of experts to counter the well-entrenched Lutyen’s club members and the Left. Otherwise, Modi will have to continue to face alternate reality. Far from the Truth!
