John Green’s 2012 bestselling book ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ has already been adapted into a film in Hollywood. There’s been talk of the book being adapted into a Bollywood film as well since last year, but nothing came of it until now. Now, reports say Homi Adajania is set to roll the film and has picked off Deepika Padukone for the leading role. The male lead is yet to be finalized. Adajania has previously directed Deepika in two films: Cocktail and Finding Fanny.

The Fault In Our Stars tells the story of a young female cancer patient who is compelled by her parents to attend a support group. It’s in this group that she meets a boy, a cancer patient, and the two fall in love with each other. The remake will release in 2016.
