The Lost Hindu Science
WHAT Hindu nonsense, borrowed from Batra’s book. Wait, wait! Batra maybe a communal cuss, but he is a clever communal cuss, for he actually quotes a Dr. Matapurkar saying so. And who is that medical moron who is saying so? Impossible as it seems, he is the pioneer of stem cell research in India, which is very much in the news these days as the latest refinement in medical science. This devilish doctor went to the anti-secular extent of asserting that stem-cell research, considered an ultra-modern medical science, is actually a “lost Hindu science”. What on earth! This can only mean that this medical maniac Matapurkar wrote this rot in the RSS rag, from where Batra borrowed it for his book, from where Modi coolly copies it. At least secular Satiricus would have loved it to be so. Alas, it wasn’t. It was actually that Matapurkar said so a decade ago and it was extensively written about by a weekly named Week in a special section devoted to ancient Hindu science. As if this is not indecently anti-secular enough, this weekly Week even printed the picture of a Maratha man of 200 years ago on whom a potter of Pune had performed plastic surgery to give him a new nose as per procedure laid down by Sushruta 3000 years ago. Satiricus is aghast. To think that such heinous Hindu heresies should go unpunished during the glorious Rome Rajya of the United Progressive Alliance of secularists!
