Rani To Be Honoured By Mp Government
After getting rave reviews for her real life portrayal of feisty cop in Mardaani, Rani Mukerji is all set to add another feather to her cap. The actress will be honoured by the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraaj Singh Chauhan along with the IAS officers of the state. According to reports, Madhya Pradesh government had organized a felicitation ceremony in Bhopal for Rani on September 12. Many state bureaucrats will also attend the ceremony. Released on August 22, Mardaani it seems has turned out to be Rani’s career best performance. Inspired by real life lady cops, Rani played to near perfection a crime branch official on the trail of sex-trafficking mafia.
Ajay Locks Horns With Kjo
Karan Johar and Kajol, who worked together in a number of films including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan, have not been on talking terms since the last few months.
The duo’s friendship went sour following a row. Ajay reportedly confronted KJo over the phone about rumours of him making unpleasant remarks about the actor. The allegation was vehemently denied by the filmmaker but Ajay was not appeased. Kajol chose to side her husband and this made matters worse. Now, Ajay has decided to lock horns with Karan who a couple of days earlier announced that Rensil D’Silva’s Ungli would open on December 5. Immdiately, Ajay decided that his upcoming rom-com, Action Jackson, would arrive in the theatres on the same Friday.
Akshay Finds His Boss
Akshay Kumar has found his reel-life partner in Madhurima Tuli, the boss lady of a recent commercial which has been dubbed “sexist” because she goes home to cook dinner for the hubby who has been left back in office to work on a project with a deadline. The model with the winning smile will play the Khiladi’s wife in the upcoming thriller, Baby.
The film also has Taapsee Pannu playing an agent while Madhurima plays the supportive wife of Akshay who too is an undercover special agent. This face has become a household name thanks to the controversy her recent ad has generated with everyone having their own take on the storyline. The makers aren’t complaining about the visibility. Madhurima plays not just Akshay’s wife but also the mother of his young children. Madhurima started shooting in Delhi recently. The film is targeting a 2015 Republic Day release.
Shahid Kapoor will be playing a white-collar criminal in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s upcoming film, Farzi (earlier titled Fake). Now according to a leading tabloid the makers have finalised Kriti Sanon, who was Tiger Shroff’s leading lady in Heropanti, to play the female lead. It is learnt that the makers were looking for an actress who could pull off the role of a spunky Delhi girl. Several A-listers were considered, but the role finally went to Tiger’s girl. Her character gets embroiled in a major financial racket of which Shahid is the mastermind. The two eventually fall in love. The film goes on floors in December. By then Shahid would have finished a major chunk of Vikas Bahl’s Shaandaar, which he is currently filming in Leeds with Alia Bhatt. Farzi will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad.
