Aditi Is Travelling In Time
After a sizzling bikini scene in Boss Aditi Rao Hydari will be playing a classical dancerfrom a 17th century court of legendary Maratha warrior Peshwa Madhavrao. She has performed that feat with a classical dance to the thumri Loot liyo mohe shyam sawariya in Mrinal Kulkarni’s directorial debut, the Marathi film Prem Mhanje Prem Asta. The song was shot in one night, the dance portions in three hours flat, at ND Studio recently. After the time- travel, Aditi will be back to the present with Guddu Rangeela, a film starring Arshad Warsi and Amit Sadh, where she plays a deaf-mute girl. In her kitty, there’s also Legend of Michael Misra, a quirky comedy, in which she plays a Bihari girl who aspires to be an actress.
Teaching Is The New Profession
Sunny Leone is in demand and is all set to make her Telugu film debut soon. The latest buzz doing the rounds is that the actress will be playing the role of a teacher. According to sources, the Ragini MMS 2 girl will be seen in the role of a glamorous school teacher in her Telugu debut Current Teega. Apart from teaching, Sunny will also be sizzling in a special song in the movie. Rakul Preet Singh is the film’s leading lady, while Jagapathi Babu will be seen in an important role. Sunny Leone will be starred opposite Manchu Manoj. The first look of the movie was released recently and it garnered good response from the viewers. The film is directed by G Nageswara Reddy and is believed to be a remake of the Tamil movie, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam.
Amitabh-Abhay In First Indo-Chinese Film
India is waiting to sign an audio-visual co-production treaty with China which is expected to open up business and commerce between the two neighbouring countries. As part of this initiative, Light House Productions Pvt. Ltd., a global production company, is gearing up to flag off the first Indo-Chinese production Gold Struck. Gold Struck is expected to be shot in the US, China and India and these are the markets that are being targeted. The action-comedy will feature a lot of Chinese martial arts and Bollywood-style songs and dances. It will be directed by Cory Yuen and Tony Cheung. Corey has Hollywood films like Romeo Must Die and the Transporter series behind him while Tony has directed The Sage Hunter. Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor were two names that were doing the rounds for the star cast but now Mumbai Mirror has reported that the company is in advanced talks with Amitabh Bachchan while Abhay Deol has already given his nod to the project.
Shweta Roots For Hindustani Music
Shweta Basu Prasad, remember the 11-year-old whose double role in Makdee won her the National Award for Best Child Artiste. Subsequetly, she was seen in Ekta Kapoor’s soap, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, as Shreyas Talpade’s sister in Iqbal and in Ram Gopal Verma’s Darna Zaroori Hai. She then moved to South and disappeared from the Bollywood. It is now learnt that in the meantime she has co-produced a short film featuring Naseeruddin Shah with a friend and directed a documentary on classical music titled Roots. It features the who’s who of the music world, from sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Aman and Ayan, violinist L Subramanium, Kathak guru Birju Maharaj, vocalists Pandit Jasraj and Shubha Mudgal, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and Hari Prasad Chaurasia, to Bollywood biggies like Imtiaz Ali and Muzaffar Ali, composers Shantanu Moitra, Amit Trivedi, writer-lyricist-composer Gulzar, Oscar winner AR Rahman and her mentor-director Vishal Bhardwaj.
