Such is the case with the smartwatches, a device through which you can perform all the function like you do in a smartphone. Currently, Samsung with its new and unique Galaxy Gear has created a gargantuan wave for its demand in the market. A wristwatch with 1.63-inch (4.14 cm) OLED display and loaded with S Voice that currently works with Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 has many features like making calls, displaying messages, recording videos and snapping photos. The gear is stuffed with as many as 70 apps but its battery life is still in question.

To enter into the era of smart watches, Sony has launched its own SmartWatch 2, the successor to its SmartWatch. The watch comes with a 1.6 inch screen with a high resolution of 220*176 pixels and access notifications from your wrist such as messages, calls, email, Facebook or Twitter, Calendar, or use as a remote for your Walkman or other digital media players. The device can be connected to any android phone through NFC.

Another company—Kickstarter—launched a smartwatch Pebble raising more than $10 million from 85,000 users. Pebble smartwatch vibrates when the user’s phone gets an e-mail or text message. The screen can display the message, so the user can read it without looking at the phone—a handy feature when you are stuck in a business meeting. Pebble can also control the phone’s music player, so a listener can switch to a different song by tapping the watch’s touchscreen.

Even Apple and Google are said to be developing such watches as well. Apple is rumoured to develop a smartwatch iWatch, a device which would be stuffed of many unique and different features and would give a tough competition to Samsung’s Galaxy Gear and other smartwatches makers.

With the advancement and evolution in technology industry people laid have more stress more on smartphones, laptops and other digital devices with clocks and the importance of the wristwatch has diminished. But with the dawn of the era of the smartwatches, wearing experience would have its own definition.
