Here speed means not while driving your vehicle but for morning walk. It is a very essential part of exercise and helps all organs like heart, lungs, muscles, bones, brain etc.

According to experts, speed walk gives you long life. As you increase your pace, your life span will be increased. If you increase your speed by eight meters per minute yearly, your life span will be increased by 12 per cent according to a survey conducted on people above 65 years of age. In the 74-84 age group whose speed was 5 km per hour, 92 per cent of them achieved 10 years increased life span. So slow walkers are advised to increase their speed, especially who are above 65 years.
