Hair Loss Causes And Remedies

Hair is one of the most beautiful parts of our personality. It is horrible even to think of losing such beautiful hair because of reasons unknown to us. But sadly hair loss is a common problem faced by many men and women today. When women fall victim and lose hair they look worse than bald men. Let us know the causes and remedies to control the hair loss.

There are many causes for the loss of hair such as anemia, hormonal changes, typhoid, fibroids, cancer treatments like radiation and other medicines, use of hair driers and sometimes tying hair tightly with rubber band etc. Due to physical and mental strain the flow of blood circulation to the roots gets affected, use of strong shampoos and auto-immune disease also leads to hair fall.

Hair loss due to malnutrition: Deficiency of certain nutrients such as vitamins and minerals cause hair loss. Although it is not accurate for all types of malnutrition, with honey hair fall due to deficiencies can be restricted to some extent, as honey contains some amount of minerals and vitamins such as vitamins B-2, B-6, iron, manganese, phosphorus and zinc. Though honey is not important for its mineral and vitamin content, it is due to the fact that it is absorbed quickly in the body. It may function as a carrier of those nutrients which may be small but are effective. It can play a significant role in treating the malnutrition due to timely and regular absorption.

Hair loss due to weakness: Weakness or shortage of energy can also cause hair loss. It may be due to the prolonged illness or undergoing chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer. Honey can effectively reduce the hair loss due to weakness. Although it cannot stop the hair loss due to cancer, it can be used for quick recovery from weakness.

Hair loss due to ageng and free radicals: Hair loss is a symptom of ageng and due to the higher concentration of free radicals. These free radicals are many a time responsible for ageng, macular degeneration, loss of vision, wrinkles etc. Honey is rich in anti-oxidants and can be used to eliminate free radicals from the body. This can reduce the ageing and resultant hair loss.

Hair loss due to dandruff: If not taken care of dandruff, it may cause hair fall. Ber tree leaves (Indian Jujubee) are a good remedy for this. This tree is very commonly found along side the roads in India. Collect the leaves, dried and powdered store in a bottle. Boil this powder in water and wash hair with this decoction. This helps clear the dandruff and prevents hair fall and makes the hair strong and healthy.

Soap nuts cure for loss of hair in small patches: Sometimes hair falls off or thins out in a small patch on the scalp. This is known as alopecia. This remedy is recommended by Pt.Elchuri. Rub a soap nut on a rough stone with salt water and collect the thin paste and rub it on the hair loss patch twice or thrice a day. The salt water used must be the sea salt. Hair growth starts in three days after this treatment.

 

Papaya flower for hair loss patches: Grind papaya flowers and apply on the hairless patches. When this is done regularly hair starts growing in the hair less patches which is known as alopecia in medical terms.

Curd and pepper for good hair growth: Mix powder of 10 pepper corns in a cup of curd, rub this on the scalp and leave for 5-10 minutes and wash off hair with ayurvedic shampoo. This strengthens hair and prevents hair fall. This can be done once or twice a week till the hair become lustrous and beautiful.

Include iron-rich fruits and food that help prevents hair fall. Add sesame oil, coconut, dark old jaggery, trifala, black sesame seeds, garlic and spinach in your diet. Protect hair from dust and sun, by covering your head while going out in direct sunlight.

Eat at least one radish pieces with three pinches of pepper powder in the evenings when the stomach is not too full. This can be done for a month, ensures good hair growth.

Never comb your hair when it is wet as the roots of the hair are weakest when they are wet. Let the hair dry naturally by wrapping in a towel as excess usage or hair dryer damages the texture of hair and makes it weak resulting in hair fall.
