Cyclone Ockhi weakens into low-pressure area

Cyclone Ockhi has weakened from a deep depression to a low-pressure area and defused in the Arabian Sea late last night.

Principal Secretary of Revenue department in Government of Gujarat Pankaj Kumar has said that state is now out of danger and weather will improve from tomorrow.

However, light to moderate rains are likely in the coastal districts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra for next 12 hours.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has said he was happy that menace of Cyclonic storm dispersed. He congratulated the state administration for all their preparedness to cope up with any eventuality.

Vice Chairman of Gujarat Maritime Board Ajay Bhadoo has said that RO-RO ferry service between Ghogha and Dahej will resume from tomorrow following the improvement of weather.
