The Centre’s Special Representative for Jammu and Kashmir Dineshwar Sharma arrived in Srinagar yesterday on a three-day visit. Official sources told AIR that during his stay in Pulwama, he met at least 14 delegations including saffron cultivators’ committee, youth association, a civil society group, women empowerment group, social workers’ group and a youth group from different villages of Pulwama.
Sources said NIA raids in Kashmir, release of political prisoners, power crisis and other issues were also raised. Mr Sharma is likely to visit Anantnag today to meet various delegations. He was in Jammu for the last couple of days during which he held meetings with various delegations.
