External Affairs Ministry today rejected China’s objection to Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s recent visit to Arunachal Pradesh.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and any Indian national can visit the state.

Asked about Indo-Pak talks, Mr Kumar said, there is no change in New Delhi’s stand. He said there should be a conducive environment free of terrorism for the talks to take place.

On Zakir Naik’s extradition from Malaysia, the spokesperson said inter-departmental consultations are on in this regard and will be concluded soon.
