BJP National President Amit Shah, launched party’s Jan Raksha (protect people) yatra in Kerala from Payyanur in Kannur district yesterday. The Yatra aims at protesting against political and ideological killings in Kerala as well as issues of alleged love jihad, forced conversions etc.
Over the next 15 days, Amit Shah and other top BJP leaders and union ministers will relay walk along with hundreds of party workers across the state to capital Thiruvanthapuram, to highlight what the BJP calls the CPIM’s murder politics.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, will , reach Kannur today to lead the yatra. Mr Shah who is in Kerala for three days, will join the yatra tomorrow on foot as it crosses Pinarayi. Amit Shah said that BJP will be launching nation wide protest against CPIM. He further accused that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has the responsibility of political violence in the state.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a Facebook post said that BJP is doing false propaganda and the state government is committed to ensure peace. In connection with the Janaraksha yatra tight security is provided in kannur district .
