Indian mobile manufacturer Lava has announced a 2-year warranty for all its major models in India, across smartphones and feature phones. It has also added that it would provide these two year warranty to its entire future product. The company claims that this new warranty skim is first of its kind provided by any Indian mobile manufacturer.
Specifying its new courage , Lava says that all the handset which was purchased after August 26 will have the 2-year warranty. It added that it has over 1,000 service centres across the country.
Uber, Ola Tie-Up with AAI to Book a Cab at Airports Easily
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has entered into strategic alliances with Ola and Uber to reduce the hassle of waiting or moving out. The new consensus will provide passengers the option to hire these cabs.
As part of this strategic alliance, both Ola and Uber will fulfil commuting demand of passengers at Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow and Bhubaneswar airports.
“This alliance with Ola and Uber will too facilitate air passengers to book a cab through the booking kiosks located at the airport itself. This new agreement will reduce the hassle of waiting or moving out for such app-based cabs,” the AAI said in the release. This was confirmed by Airport Authority of India.
Chinese UC Browser under govt scanner over data leak
The UC Browser owned by Chinese tech giant Alibaba group is under the Indian government’s scanner, for allegedly leaking the mobile data of users despite uninstalling the app . The proliferation of UC Browser is second after Google chrome. It is assumed that 48.66 percent people use UC browser due to presence of Chinese handset in high number in India. It was allegedly told that UC is transferring user’s data from India to china. Some report suggested that even if a user uninstalled it or cleaned browsing data, the browser retains control of DNS of user’s device.
