Sri Lanka to resume first innings at overnight score of 50/2 against India today

In Cricket, Sri Lanka will resume their first innings at the overnight score of 50 for 2 against India on Day 3 of the Colombo Test today.

When the stumps were drawn yesterday, Skipper Dinesh Chandimal and Kusal Mendis were at the crease, with the hosts still trailing by 572 runs with 8 wickets in hand. Ravichandran Ashwin bagged both the wickets before the close of play.

Earlier, India declared their first innings after scoring a mammoth 622 for 9 riding on brilliant centuries by Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane.

This is the second Test of the 3-match series, which India is leading, 1-0.
