Mallya case: India gives fresh set of documents to UK

India has given a fresh set of papers to the UK in the extradition case of businessman Vijay Mallya. External Affairs Ministry spokesman Gopal Baglay told reporters in New Delhi that a fresh set of relevant papers was given to the British High Commission last week and sent soft copies, electronically, to Indian mission.
Mallya, who is wanted in India for his Kingfisher Airlines defaulting on loans worth nearly 9,000 crore rupees, has been in the UK since March last year. He was arrested by the Scotland Yard on an extradition warrant in April this year and released on conditional bail a few hours later.
