After she became the most followed person on Twitter in 2012, American pop star Katy Perry launched ‘Katy Perry lashes by Eylure’, her line of fake eyelashes. Taking a cue from the “Roar” singer Brit modelturned-Bollywood actress Amy Jackson has come up with her own brand of fake lashes, hair extensions and colour lashes. Currently at home in London, working on the venture with a close friend who owns a beauty products chain, Amy is yet to decide on a name for the line. “Extensions are a rage in London but lashes and extensions have just begun to pique curiosity in Indian metros. I’m hoping to cash in on the trend,” Amy told Mumbai Mirror from the UK.
The actress wrapped up two films— Sohail Khan’s directorial Freaky Ali with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shankar’s Robot 2.0 with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar — before taking off to her home country. She will be back next month after setting up the UK branch of her label and fly down to India to replicate the business model by year-end. Meanwhile, the Brit beauty is working on a style guide which will explore styles that reflect her tastes with scope for experimentation.
