Strawberry is more popular for its flavour in ice-creams, cakes, jellies, jams, biscuits, chocolates, squashes, etc., in India, than the fruit itself.

It is advisable to have strawberries for breakfast, as they have all the essential vitamins and minerals required for the body that keeps you energetic throughout the day. Eating them more often will add to a person’s overall long-term health.

They have the highest antioxidant power among all fruits and protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals. They contain highest levels of vitamin C, folate, fiber and potassium. Strawberries are filled with unsual phytonutrients that are extremely healthy for our body.


Brightens teeth: The flouride content in strawberries whitens the teeth, prevents dental problems and gives strength to the gums. Cut the fruit and rub the juice of the berries on your teeth and gargle with warm water and see the result for yourself.

Regulates Electrolytes: It is rich in potassium and regulates electrolytes in the body.

Protects the heart: High fiber, folate, no fat and antioxidants such as vitamin C and flavonoids together, form an ideal cardiac health pack, as they efffectively reduce the cholesterol. All the other nutrients present in the berries make the heart muscle strong and help in proper functioning of the heart. The copper content in the berries helps reduce the bad cholesterol. Iron in the berries is absorbed for red blood cell formation.

Reduce weight: These berries are virtually fat-free. They suppress the appetite and stimulate metabolism. They also help to keep your weight-reducing hormones function properly.

Protects from cough and cold: Strawberries are full of vitamin C, a powerful natural antioxidant. Consumption of fruits rich in vitamin C helps body develop resistance against infectious agents, counter inflammation and scavenge harmful free radicals, thus protecting our body from common cold and other infections.

                Strawberries should be rinsed in hot water before eating, or else the small fiber on the fruit may cause irritation and allergic reaction.
